Synopsis :

Azrael screws up a GCPD drug bust and must make it up to Batman, when Alfred mentions Banes reappearance Batman sends Jean paul after him. Lilhy turns up and makes him an offer to leave with her. Bane steals a boat and Azrael gets on a plane to Mexico with Lilhy.

Review :

The cover is probably the most striking thing about this issue, as the story is very fragmented, a technique used to set up the plot threads in next issue. The Robinson / Pascoe team continue to produce strong art. There's a status quo that has been reached and I can't say there will be further fluctuations in the art, it took a while to settle down but there's consistancy now. Ken continues to excel at his lettering but you'll never notice it until he leaves, that's how good he is.

Rant :

Although I'm not too fond of their interpretation of Lilhy, Robinson and Pascoe definately did good work here very effectively getting across body language. A large number of cameos made for a visualy appealing issue, if somewhat unweildly story. The hype was that it featured Bane's return, but that was just a flashback. The dialogue was good but very little in this issue stood out.
