Synopsis :

Azrael jumps out of the plane Lilhy was taking to Mexico and just makes the plane to Florida. When Jean-Paul reaches his seat he finds himself accompanied by a most unexpected companion, Nomoz. Azrael fights Bird and Bane but is defeated.

Review :

Another in a series of good covers Robinson and Pascoe, this time paying homage to the classic cover to Batman #497. Good dialogue, and Denny expands his interesting narration style leading to an issue evenly divided into past and present tense with out being ungramatical. Roger Robinson provides his best art to date with a dynamic picture of The Avenging Angel and a reflection of Jean-Pauls face in Azrael's mask. This story proves a high point for this arc.

Rant :

Definatly one of the better stories in this arc, it brings out perfectly how completely immoral Bane is, there isn't anything he wouldn't do including killing his friends. I'm not sure what Denny is trying to do with Nomoz, he doesn't seem to fit in with what's going on in Azrael. What really puzzles me is what Nomoz has been doing between Azrael Az#28 and #37 also what the hell does Jean-Paul do between adventures, it's obviously not decorating, his place is a real rat hole kinda like the most recent Fate's.
