synopsis :

Azrael and the False Azrael fight on a bridge high above the ground with Jean-Paul Valley emerging as the victor and the false Azrael plummeting to the ground. Lilhy and Azrael look for an escape and find a hovercraft but Azrael finds he can't leave without Brian. After rescueing Brian the three escape one of Brother Zoo's "pets", and fall down an escape passage.

Review :

High octane action and a wonderful script make for a high quality action adventure and Azrael has that in spades. Lilhy's disgust and pity for Brian because of his alcoholism adds a great inter-character element.

More detail is added to "The System" in this issue. Jean-Paul is seen throwing about four hundred pound alters but it appears his "powers" are only available to him in combat.

Rant :

As with all previous Azrael's the coulouring on this book has to be seen to be believed. The line art is phenomenal, the intensity of the detail is down slightly from the previous issues but that can be expected as once a monthly book is launched deadlines begin to creep up. Definately an issue to buy even if only to see how Azrael deals with the False Azrael, if you haven't read this one, trust me, it's beautiful to watch.
