Synopsis :

Azrael, Lilhy and Brian escape the wreckage of the hovercraft but are confronted by the men who abducted them for Ra's al Ghul. Azrael dispatches them with little difficulty and they begin walking to Ra's al Ghul's camp. Brian and Lilhy retire to their comfortable rooms but the near catatonic Azrael mysteriously leaves the compound.

Review :

James' definition of Lilhy and Azrael makes them look older, as opposed to scott Eaton who made them look younger. The art was again spectacular with the textures used bringing out the sense of depth brilliantly, for example the textures used on the moon add fine detail which is a welcome contrast when most of the action is done in silhouette.

Denny uses the silent Azrael to further explore the personalities of the supporting characters he also uses a subltle silhouette to highlight Talia's ruthlessness. He uses his opportunities to expand on the characterisations and also provides moments of humour.

Rant :

It's odd how an issue with very little story has so much substance, it's difficult to get across in words without spending a great deal of time reading and rereading this story. The greatest thing about this issue are the small character moments and Denny's keen understanding of his creations.
