Azrael gets his clothes back from the Joker and gets away from the Arkham inmates. He makes an egress through the roof but as he returns to the chopper with Nomoz he finds an unexpected passenger, Charles. Realizing that he couldn't let Charles escape Jean-Paul fights him, and wins, even without the mask.
Review :
Azrael able to fight without his mask? This signifies an important step for Azrael, possibly the barrier between his two selves is falling which will make for a far differant Azrael than the one who destroyed the Ice Catedral. Barry's clean lines and innocent young Jean-Paul will be missed from this title with his departure this issue, he has never once faltered and always provided top notch art. The rest of the art team did nothing that was below par and remain an incredebly good mix of talent and skill.
Rant :
How could Barry leave? One can only hope that he will someday pencil an Azrael special or some such. Barry is the second most influencial artist ever to draw Azrael after Joe Quesada, he created the supporting cast and the Ice Cathedral but from where I'm sitting it looks like he'll never be back. This issue got house ads in other DC comics, but there wasn't much to advertise there wasn't a great amount to the story but it was a fun ride.
