Jean-Paul finds Lilhy is involved with a man named Luc. Talia makes an appearance asking for Jean-Pauls help when the two of them are attacked Jean-Paul passes out. As Azrael he follows to a graveyard and meets a brute named Bimmu.
Review :
Dougie Braithwaite provides a much older Jean-Paul than Barry did but does the flaming blades too small. The story had strong emotional elements with the writing getting across effectively Jean-Pauls loneliness. This story while having a goal seems to suffer for the same reason issues #27 and #28 did, lack of direction
Rant :
I really didn't think much of Dougie Braithwaites Azrael, it was too skinny, though he did a good job on the facial exprasions. The skinny thing is an issue with me 'cause back in Knightsend he was built like an ox and handed Nightwing a serious beating. But now he's much less bulky and hasn't thrashed anyone that seriously in ages. Charles beat him too easily.
