synopsis :

Azrael escapes Bane with Nomoz and The Venom. He goes through withdrawl and heads back to face Bane. He defeats Bane by psyching him out, convincing Bane that he needs Venom, and while Bane was distracted Azrael pushes him off a cliff. At the bottom Azrael decks Bane with one punch.

Review :

One thing that can be said about Azrael, even when the plots aren't very strong the narration is superb. Not much really happens in this issue and the Azrael jumping of a cliff is used twice in this issue, almost automatically as if Denny hadn't thought it through. The second occurance could be a final irony, but the reader is probably so dissapointed with it that they don't notice.

Rant :

Pretty damn good, opening narration by Bane, then Batman, and finally by Azrael, all reflecting on differant aspects of Azrael and the story. This story brought out something different in JP for the first time he used his head, remember when he charged the National Guard when all he needed to do was use a fax? I put this one in the top ten just because of the great focus on Azrael's character.
